Day 1 : (Nainital) Arrive Delhi & Drive To Nainital (8hrs.)

On Arrival At Delhi Airport / Railway Station We Drive To Nainital. Nainital : Is Referred To As The Lake Of Three Sages, Or The Tri Rishi Sarovar As Mentioned In The Manas Khand Chapter Of The Skanda Purana. As Recorded In History, The Three Sages, Atri, Pulastya, And Pulaha Stopped Over At Nainital On Their Pilgrimage, To Quench Their Thirst. Finding No Water, They Dug A Hole And Transferred Some Water Into It To From The Sacred Lake Of Tibet, Mansarovar. Thus The Famous Lake Of Nainital Came Into Existence. Another Legend Has It That The Left Eye Or Nain Of Lord Shiva’s Wife Sati Fell In This Center And Formed An Emerald Eye Shaped Lake, And Thus Emerged The City Of Nainital.Recent History Records Reveal That Nainital Was Brought Into Limelight By P. Barron, A British Sugar Merchant, In 1839. The Beauty Of Nainital With The Central Lake Cushioned Among The Forests Attracted This Person To Build A House Named Pilgrim’s Cottage And Settle In Nainital. We Proceed For Baijnath Temple. Baijnath Temple Is A Venerable Shrine Of Uttrakhand. It Is Stationed 16 Km From Kausani On The Banks Of Gomti In Gruda Valley. It Is Said To Have Been Built By Kumaon Katyuri King In 1150 A.D. It Is Used To Be The Capital Of Katyuri Dynasty Of Kings Who Ruled Over Uttarakhand During 12th And 13th Century. Earlier Bijnath Was Knowns As ‘Kartiykapura’. The Temple Is Devoted To Lord Shiva And Holds A Significant Importance Because As The Mythology Says That Lord Shiva And Parvati Were Married On The Conflux Of River Gomti And Garur Ganga. Lord Shiva Is One Of The God In Trinity (Brahma, Vishnu And Shiv) Hence, This Place Becomes Significantly More Important Among Devotees. Evening Return Back To Hotel And Full Day Free For Leisure.
